FASSA update

Last Wednesday there was another good turnout for the BIKE HUTT Wednesday Worlds. 19 riders in all rode in a fast pace evening ride.

The ride left the BIKE HUTT and went up Wally Hill where the young guns took off and left us older and heavier riders to ride a solid tempo and meet them again at the top. From there it was a good 30+kph tempo to the top of Blue Mts.

After a quick drink and a chat the pace was on. The attacks began right from the start but none were able to stay away for long. Ben attacked more than George W Bush but never seemed to get the assistance he needed to keep the gap (where were you Gav?). Most people were able to hold the wheel but very few were able to challenge the pace being set at the front. Once again Phil was 100% committed and Paul Larkin was more than active at or near the front of the bunch.

As usual it came down to a bunch sprint with Dan taking it out (drug test please). Great to see another CAMPAG rider making it out for the evening. Good to see you there Nigel.

I don't know whose team ute it was giving cans of drinks out near the finish on Wednesday but if anyone got the reg I would love to make contact with them to explain that cans being thrown at riders at 50+kph isn't the best way to deliver them.

There was also a good turnout of our riders on Saturday for the PNP club race in Whitemans Valley. I think it is the first time that the BIKE HUTT shop kit was the most common kit being worn. Great to see and added a bit of team spirit to the day. Unsure of all the results but strong attacks by both Rob (SIR) and Phil (as per wed ride) kept C grade honest and fast.

At the BIKE HUTT there is a great range of both mitt and full finger LG gloves for $20. Good value for money. While you are in there, say "free wheel" to any of the staff and receive your free BIKE HUTT drink bottle which contains a number that puts you in the draw to win a UVEX helmet.

Enjoy the weather and hope to see you on Wednesday at 6pm at the BIKE HUTT.

Take care
Besty
